Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for the Palm Beaches, Florida!
Long fabled as a playground for blue-bloods and jet-setters, the Gold Coast’s Palm Beaches and environs continue to attract the wealthy while also serving as a magnet for discerning eyes of the less well-heeled. Upscale amenities mix with an array of natural attractions along the Palm Beaches, from Jupiter to Boca Raton, often at significant savings in summer. While Palm Beach retains its aura of timelessness -- never more so than at The Breakers, the grand dame hotel of the island -- revitalizations and upgrades are somewhat of a rule rather than an exception countywide. Attractions on Palm Beach include the Flagler Museum at Whitehall, former home of rail magnate Henry Flagler, and Worth Avenue, famed for shopping. Palm Beach history buffs often take advantage of complimentary "Historical Walking Tours of Wonderful Worth Avenue" occurring at intervals during peak winter season, and on some summer Saturdays. Across the bridge, West Palm Beach beckons with the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and CityPlace, for shopping, restaurants, and entertainment near the $80-million Palm Beach County Convention Center. Nearby attractions include the drive-through Lion Country Safari, the South Florida Science Museum, with a planetarium and aquarium, and Mounts Botanical Gardens. Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park has a carousel with horses, big cats and manatees. South of Palm Beach, Boca Raton -- architect / developer Addison Mizner’s vision with a gold-domed town hall -- has its own fabled history, much of it grandly showcased at the ever-expanding Boca Raton Resort & Club.
Mizner Park is a garden-like retail shopping center with sidewalk cafes, galleries and a movie theater. Boca Raton’s Town Center Mall attracts with Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s. In Delray Beach, once gritty Atlantic Avenue has transformed into a chic promenade for art galleries, shops and restaurants. With 47 miles of coastline and Lake Okeechobee (the nation’s second largest freshwater lake), Palm Beach County is awash in aquatic options, from boating and deep-sea fishing to snorkeling and parasailing. Reefs off the Palm Beaches attract divers, while the Florida Everglades bordering southern Palm Beach County provides for airboat adventure. With more than 2,300 restaurants, Palm Beach County also has more than 200 inns, hotels, and resorts boasting some 16,000 rooms.
